Shelby Espiritu

I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health. I am currently working toward formalizing my specialization with a ​certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International.  I help mothers, fathers and families experiencing changes in mood, increased anxiety and substance misuse in the perinatal period. At Lifespan, we are building a Perinatal Mental Health team to help all involved to access the care and support they need to navigate this specific stage of life. I also work with postpartum anxiety and depression, men coping with their partner's mental health challenges, changes during pregnancy, men coping with the pregnancy and the postpartum period, alcohol misuse, coping with sexually transmitted infections, relationship conflict and the spectrum of associated sexual desire, intimacy and comfort during this time.
